Storyboard

part 1

part 2

part 3

Our storyboard was incredibly useful to us whilst filming and planning every other aspect of the film as it enable us to follow a structure whilst filming but still leave room for spur of the moment creativity. The storyboard allowed/reminded us to keep as close to the 2 minute limit as we could during shots. Our storyboard also helped us to map out our idea, as before we completed a storyboard we had an idea of the theme and basic story line of our sequence, however, we weren't sure of how to create this physically. Creating a storyboard helped us bring the idea together in actual video footage.

Next time, to improve our storyboard I would like to create a digital version so it is a lot clearer and we can add many more shots onto it so we remain strict with the shots we get, in order to remain close to the time limit. Furthermore, to positively advance our storyboard we could include specific features such as costume ideas, mise en scene detail and colour. This would allow us to have an indication of the final outcome of our piece before it is done. It would also allow us to focus on the finer details, which are incredibly important to a genre like Gritty Realism as the mise en scene can tell the audience a lot about the location, personality of a character and personal situation of a character.

  1. WWW: The pages have all of the relevant information.

EBI: This is a little difficult to read - the pencil hasn't scanned too well. A little colour would also help. A digital storyboard might help you to visualize the shots in sequence.
